Welcome to the Tigers September 2019 update!
Darwin once said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change.”
As digitalisation continues to disrupt and drive change in supply chains I am pleased that Tigers remains fully immersed in this transition.
Recently we launched a new Purchase Order (PO) feature for SmartHub:Connect, our flagship freight, logistics, and e-commerce portal, which allows customers to track factory orders and to plan sales and marketing campaigns.
This is an exciting addition to the transportation module of SH:C which is initially launching in the USA and will be followed in Australia, South Africa, and Europe.
Other recent developments include completing the global roll out of freight rate quote engine Doozee across Tigers’ internal systems in Europe and the USA following a successful trial on the Australia-China trade lanes.
We have created a new video about our Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) service. Click here to watch the video on YouTube and feel free to leave a comment.
Tigers South Africa has further embraced the e-commerce boom by opening a dedicated e-commerce facility, and also announced the launch of a renewable energy vertical to handle the import of solar panels.
Our USA operation has raised more than $2,500 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as part of its annual Wellness Event and has welcomed two new staff members to the team.
Tigers Australia has been selected as the local logistics partner for Asendia’s new Oceania product and shipped the world’s biggest, heaviest gold coin from Perth to New York City for a special exhibition at the New York Stock Exchange.
And finally, Tigers has been shortlisted for two awards at the Lloyd’s Loading List Global Freight Awards for the categories Employer of the Year and Digital Transformation. Thank you Lloyd’s Loading List for the recognition.
I couldn’t be prouder of the Tigers team and I look forward to seeing what the final quarter of 2019 brings.
